Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Bishop

I'm from Texas so I have certain expectations for my Mexican food. Amigos checks off most if not all the boxes. Try it, you won't be disappointed! Table salsa is top notch along with the complimentary corn chips ... the best! Oh yeah, the guacamole is spot on. I recommend the beef chimichanga, enchiladas, tostadas and the nachos.

Good food love the salsa and chips!

The service was quick and friendly and the wait for food after ordering was not very long. I ordered the Acapulco tacos and OMG. They are to die for. The rice and beans were full of flavor. My fiance got the chimichanga and it was awesome and crunchy and perfect. This was out first time in Bishop and I'm glad we chose Amigo's for lunch as we passed through. The good reviews are so true. We will definitely make a point to route back through Bishop to eat here again.

AMAZING!I have tried a few different items and they are all so delicious its rediculous. The portions are huge too, rately can I even finish my meal. The carne asada burrito is my favorite! Chicken tacos are so flavorful, salsa is amazing, encheladas come with fabulous sauce. I can't stree enough how amazing this place is. Plus the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and attentive. Its a mandatory stop anytime im near Bishop.

This is my favorite restaurant in Bishop, Ca. and has been for more than 22 years. Though it's changed ownership over the years the staff is fantastic and the food is delicious, small but comfortable, we never miss dining here everytime we visit Bishop

I don't normally go to Mexican restaurants but this place is relaxing. Very good service, good food, and nice menu. I can't remember the name of mu dish but it had shredded beef. The meat was good but the rice seemed a little old. I leave feeling refreshed.

Great food, wonderful service!. We had a group of 4, with 2 kids. The service was fast, and they were patient with all our requests. The place filled up during the lunch hour, but our service didnt suffer at all. It was my furst visit, but I will definetely go back! Thanks for a great fiid experience!!!

I love in San Diego and this is the best Mexican food I have every eaten. Guacamole taste like avocado, beans or creamy, rice was flavorful. Delicious fish taco. Chips were perfect.

The burritos are very big and tasty. They serve you with free nachos at the beginning, which is awesome. The price is good. They don't have wifi.

Was passing through Bishop wanted some Mexican food and OMG!! I was impressed ordered the chimichanga plate and the street vendors plate and let me tell you it was so delicious 😋 and chips and salsa included for free!!! And the salsa is out of this world!!

I eat here regularly food is good and services good prices are average a little on the small side for a restaurant.

Oh, so good! Ginormous chimichanga, had leftovers TWICE! They are so nice there... I use a walker and had a hard time getting up. One of the gentlemen working there came right to my aid. Now THAT is service!

The food was really bad ,the meat is terrible. Now everyone can open a Mexican restaurant when they don’t know have to cook real Mexican food

Service was great. Place is a little run down but quaint. My son had the chimichangas and he said they were good. I had the shrimp cocktail. I've been craving a good Mexican Shrimp cocktail for a while but this did not satisfy the craving. Not much flavor in the sauce and the shrimp was a little tough. Menu was extensive.

I would give 3 stars but the place is better that just ok. The specialty plates are really good and there is plenty of room for somewhat large groups.

Tastes like tropical Mexican food, similar to the Yuccatan border, Merida, I believe. I love the variety.

They have the best, most flavorful authentic mexican food in Bishop!! One of the great things about Amigos is that I can also call and get take out whenever I don't feel like going out to eat. I can stay home and still enjoy their delicious food!! I would definitely recommend their Nachos and you gotta try the Mexican Fried Icecream!! It is so so good!!!

Delicious meal! Flavorful dishes with hearty portion sizes. The Ensalada with Acapulco Chicken topped with the creamy vinegarette is never a disappointment. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

This was an amazing restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was huge it was impossible to choose. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. They had an incredible selection of salsa. A large selection of beers too. I had the carne asada plate which came with steak, rice, beans, and tortillas. If I'm ever back in town I will without a doubt return to this amazing Mexican food restaurant. There is a large parking lot to the rear of the restaurant with plenty of parking. Or there is Street parking.

Fast, friendly, yummy! The veggie burrito was really good.

Food was authentic but the Salsa was lacking heat.

The baby lobster enchiladas are wonderful, the Rice and beans are perfect, the staff is awesome and the restaurant is clean and nicely themed, btw you have to try their tortilla soup, it is so yummy.

Two words: Cancun Enchiladas

Stopped in for two tacos to go. When I opened the (unfortunately styrofoam) boxes the shells were so full of meat there was no room for the toppings! Both the chicken and beef were so flavorful and tender. Best tacos I've ever had! I just wish I had had an extra taco shell for each so I could have meat AND toppings.
